Bio
Joanne Tauscher was born in 1940. She began attending the Short Center South in 1993. She has been taking visual art classes at the Short Center for the past seven years. These classes include painting, drawing and ceramics. She uses her classes at the Short Center as her personal studio time and has really progressed into her own personal style over the years. Being incredibly prolific, she is skilled in the use of many different materials but prefers working on two-dimensional projects. Joanne's work has been included in numerous group shows with other Short Center artist in the Sacramento area. Her work has been shown at Details Salon & Art Gallery and the Center for Contemporary Art. Several of Joanne's paintings were featured in DDSO's Extraordinary Event 2000 an annual silent auction held to benefit the various programs supported by DDSO. Joanne will be having a retrospective of her work at the Short Center South's Dublirer Gallery March 13 through April 30, 2004.
